Goat on the Lam

Sawyer is a middle school girl living on a goat farm in rural Oklahoma. Her father may have walked out a long time ago, her brother may not have time for her, and Momma might not be getting better, but she’s not alone. She’s always been able to talk to Rosenberg, an aggressive goat who understands what it’s like to be angry all the time, and Griffin, a boy with a constant supply of sorghum cookies. That is, until her brother and his sort-of girlfriend decide that it would be best if the goats were sold. Sawyer and Griffin embark on a 56 mile walk across the state of Oklahoma to deliver Rosenberg to a goat sanctuary. A perfect blend of comedy and coming of age.
